Simple Home Budget in Your Language

Multilingual support was introduced in December 2009, and for the current moment Simple Home Budget is available in the following languages:

  • English (original, no US/GB separation yet)
  • Spanish (professional translation ordered)
  • French (France and Canada variants) (user submitted)
  • Danish (user submitted)
  • Hungarian (user submitted)
  • Croatian (user submitted)
  • Chinese (user submitted)
  • Russian (translated myself)
  • Ukrainian (translated myself)

All users who provided their credentials in the translation received free licenses for Simple Home Budget.

If you like Simple Home Budget and your language is missing in the list, complete translation using on of available languages and as your baseline, send to us and you will get Simple Home Budget license free. You may also edit existing translation is you find it unsatisfying (or create your country variant of the same language) – you will still get Simple Home Budget license for free. All you need to do is use Simple Home Budget – all translation tools are there (click on Settings->Language->Add/Edit translation… in the main menu).

It is expected that some user submitted translations would have some issues – we are planning to use professional translation services (like Spanish was done) for the most common languages. From my side, I usually try to verify a translation by feeding it to Google Translate and other online services to see that translation at least what is suppose to be. Again, your help would be appreciated and free license will be awarded for your efforts.

Overall, I’m very existed about Simple Home Budget being available in other languages. I expect some other issues to be found like specific monetary formats or languages with other writing direction, but I’m willing to take this challenge and I’m sure there is will a positive result from it.
